Stress and Disease Resistance in Crayfish (Procambarus clarkii) Breed “Huachizhen-1”

Stress and disease are critical factors hindering the industrial development of red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkii). Breeding with stress- disease-resistant characteristics can overcome these limitations promote their development. In this study, breed F3, which exhibits rapid growth a favoured haplotype combination immune genes R, ALF, crustin2, encoding Toll-like receptor, anti-lipopolysaccharide factor, antimicrobial peptide, respectively, were selected as parents to offspring (the group (SG)). The genotype, stress resistance, resistance in SG unselected (USG) compared. results showed that ratio was higher than USG crayfish, leading stronger resistance.
